Our history

Sùlaire was born from generations of island life on Lewis, part of Scotland’s Outer Hebrides.

Originating from the most northerly area of the island, The Ness, where the wild beauty of the edge of the Atlantic Ocean meets with the warmth of this ancient community which dates back to the Vikings. With a heritage of over a century in fishing, Sùlaire embodies the freedom, the honesty and the ingenuity of the island’s crofters and fishermen.
